Summer Fun

In summer, the song sings itself. ~William Carlos Williams

Our summer plans include swimming, swinging, sliding, and picnicing our days away and we are off to a great start.

We were able to spend a fun weekend with Opa and Oma (Jesse's parents) and hit the local hot springs.  I'm pretty sure Brooklynn doesn't know that not all pools are 95 degrees.  Irelyn was able to model her new bikini and even enjoyed some time in the pool.

The girls and I have been in search of new parks around town.  Another way to spend some time outside without spending any money.  The packing of a brown bag lunch adds quite a bit of excitement to our morning adventures.

Justa' Swingin' :)

We also made a fun trip into the Childrens Museum.  They have such great activities for both girls including digging for dinosaur bones (which requires safety goggles), learning about the water cycle, and lots of things to climb on.

My own slice of watermelon.

A few more random pictures to demonstrate how we are enjoying summer.

Brooklynn getting a haircut from Johnny.  Her first time getting a haircut from "a boy" and she was a little nervous.

The Beaudettes are hoping you are able to soak up a little sun also.  Enjoy your summer :)
