We had put our house up for sale in October and had 2 showings between then and the end of the year. Pretty slow going. Well the middle of January brought a few more showings through with one of them being the future owners of our little house! We will be closing on this house on March 12 and then closing on our new house on March 13. Our new house gives us the space we have been wanting for a while, a bigger yard and a quiet cul-de-sac for the girls to play on.
The end of December and beginning of January also brought 3 ER visits for our littlest family member. Christmas Eve night Irelyn was clearly in a lot of pain, screaming and squirming. Jesse left for the ER with her only to have her seem more comfortable on the trip down there. The docs figured it was gas but we figure it is her lack of a gall bladder as it has bothered her several times before after eating pizza. Then the first week of January I took her back to the ER for a terrible cough which she'd had for 3 weeks and it was getting increasingly worse. After a chest x-ray and visit with the docs they put her on some good antibiotics for pneumonia and croup. The following week she was back in the ER with Jesse again, we like to share this fun experience, for a possible urinary tract infection. We have found out that we unfortunately will not be getting any discounts for most frequent visits to the ER. Oh well, she's worth it and so much more! Here are a few pictures of our sad, little patient.

We've enjoyed sledding followed by yummy hot cocoa,
a first haircut,
a pedicure,
playtime in the laundry basket,
and Olympic level figure skating!
February brings packing for our big move and training for a full marathon! We hope this new year is treating you well and all of our family and friends are happy and healthy. Take care and keep in touch.
Congrats on selling your house! And I hope February is a healthier month for your family:)
