November 2012

"I'm so glad I live in a world with Octobers."
L.M. Montgomery

Our October was filled with traditional autumn activities.  Our amazing church hosts a pumpkin patch each year to raise money for orphanages around the world.  It is a challenge each year to find the biggest pumpkin in the patch and I do believe this year's topped last year's.

This gives Jesse a small idea of how I felt while 9 months pregnant!

Everyone helped out, well, except me.  I took pictures.

The girls and I visited the local corn maze with Uncle Jason and some family friends.  We had a good time following the leaders of the group, the 2 four year olds!

The corn maze also had a few animals for the children to pet.  My little Irelyn has never met an animal she didn't like.

Jesse's very long dry-spell finally ended on October 21 when he found a sickly, limping bull elk out in the wilderness!  Just kidding, Jesse shot a big 6-point bull elk and thankfully had the help of his dad and a long-time family friend, Rich, to cut up and drag out the elk.  When he got home that night he said he had a pretty good idea how I felt after finishing my marathon this summer.  He was one very tired hunter!

Jesse was so happy....the elk was not!

We are so proud of you Sweetie!  Congratulations on your big elk!!

We received our first snow fall on October 25 and Irelyn and I bundled up and played in the snow for most of the morning.

Piglet loved the snow....

Tiki did not!

Each year gets a little more fun with our girls on Halloween.  Both girls were very excited to get dressed up (unlike the uncooperative Piglet from last year) and head out for a fun evening.  We started at the Halloween Carnival at our church and then walked around our neighborhood and got more candy than any one child should eat all year.  Fun was had by all!

The cutest black cat ever!

Our beautiful Little Mermaid!
Every time I'd try to take her picture she did this crazy head tilt.  I finally asked her what was wrong with her neck and she said this is how princesses stand when they get their picture taken.  Well, you learn something new every day.

A kiss from the cat.

Brooklynn did very well at limbo at the carnival.

Two trick-or-treaters waiting for their treat!

To finish up, a couple of cute pictures from the last month.

I hope you have a very thankful November.  I know I'll be counting my many blessings.
