The girls and I are one week into our summer vacation (poor Jesse is still working) and excited for all of our free time. Looking back at pictures reminds me just how busy our last couple months of the school year were.
April started with another wonderful time of celebrating Easter with these two silly girls.
We then made another trip to Seattle to see a pediatric dermatologist whom we absolutely love! Irelyn has been diagnosed with an autoimmune skin condition and after treating her for a year and a half with no relief we decided to see a specialist and Seattle Children's is her old stompin' grounds!
While there we visited one of her favorite NICU nurses Maggie. We were so happy to see her and show her how well Irelyn is doing.
We then checked in at the dermatology clinic for her appointment. The doctor was amazing, thorough and so caring.
After the appointment we found time to visit the Space Needle, Children's Museum and Science Museum. The girls had a blast and were so tired at the end of the day.
Brooklynn's school puts together a very cute music program made up entirely of BUGS! Brooklynn chose to be a butterfly. She was beautiful.
The school also puts on an annual Track and Field Day which Brooklynn loves. Her best friend Dannielle is usually close by.
The track and field events included the 1 mile run,
the hurdles (notice Brooklynn in the middle in her sprinting stance),
the obstacle course,
and the long jump!
Irelyn finished up her time in the Super Fly gymnastics class with a wonderful Show Day. She has started getting more interested in gymnastics over the last few months. We often see her practicing her cartwheels and handstands at home. This month she has moved up to the 6 year old Mighty Mite class. We are so proud of her!
